Tried to focus on the eye only. It´s ISO 3200, so please forgive me the low quality of the insect, but the light was fantastic and I had only seconds to capure this moment. 1 min later there was no sun at the horizon.

...come out soon.

There is hardly a better place in my area to enjoy a perfect Autumn day than the open-air -museum in Detmold. We spent a whole day in beautiful sunshine without a cloud in this lovely location.

The LWL-Freilichtmuseum in Detmold is a great place to learn and experience the world of our ancestors. The open-air-museum is covered with buildings, tools, animals and plants of countryside life in Northwest Germany in the last couple of centuries. An endless source of inspiration for HDR photography.

In winter season, Niigata city has little sunshine. So Yesterday was lucky day.

""Welcome, my little one. You made it too, my third egg!!. Please be careful when you are going to explore this world"", said the proud chicken ;-))

Schloss Brake near Lemgo is a castle built in the style of the Weserrenaissance. We used the second advent weekend for a visit to attend an interesting exhibition about historic maps and navigation.

This is the same photo I posted in February, but enhanced a bit to show more detail. I believe I like this one better.

Looking up at the corner of Wacker Avenue and Franklin Street in Chicago's Loop, the elliptical shaped building on the left is the Hyatt Center. The building in the middle, located one block back, is the Franklin Center and the building on the right is 111 South Wacker.

The surf of San Francisco Bay churns around the rocky shoreline at historic Fort Point, as seen from the pedestrian walkway on the Golden Gate Bridge.

One last look at this little waterfall.

Set on a private beach overlooking the Arabian Gulf, this sprawling upscale resort with domed rooftops is located at Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road - Ras al Khaimah - UAE.

While walking the canyon rim, I couldn't help myself enough to the amazing view, the intricate geological details and random shading provided by the high clouds. As I walked my angle to the scene before me changed, all the players are the same but have now slowly moved into different positions. So fascinating to me that on several occasions I stumbled on the trail because I couldn't look away. What an amazing wonderland of textures and details chiseled away over eons making up the "Grand Canyon". I've heard that the view from the North Rim is even more spectacular than this view from the South Rim. Next time I'm on my way to the southwest I will have to stop by there and see for myself. Sitting here taking in the view I decided to break out the 70-200mm and shoot some close-ups. :)

Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my photos, and as always, your views, comments, faves, and support are greatly appreciated!! Have a great Thursday!! :)

From a geological standpoint, Iceland is a very young country, still in the midst of its own creation. Shaped by the forces of nature, the, barren landscapes demonstrate the creativity powers of the four basic elements—earth, air, fire, and water—in a dramatic way. Active volcanoes, bright green valleys, glacier-cut fjords, black sand beaches, and roaring rivers are the most distinctive features of the Icelandic landscape. And although they are very accessible, they still remain virtually untouched by human civilization. In a fast-paced world of sprawling development, Iceland's pure nature and empty expanses stand out as a luxury.

Despite the name, “ice” only covers about 10% of the land, but still represents the largest glaciers left in Europe. It represents a source of pure water and symbolizes the purity of Icelandic

Hope everyone enjoys a lovely weekend.

Athabasca Falls in September when the flow is low. This falls is not known so much for the height of the falls (76 feet, 23 metres), as it is known for its force due to the large quantity of water falling into the gorge. Can be tough to get a shot from this spot in the Spring. Lots of misty and spray.

Another must stop along the Icefields Parkway, which is in view on the other side of the river.

More shots in comments.

Many thanks for taking a look!
